A Hands-On Course for Ohio & Tennessee
Attendees will learn and gain practical experience with key features of Microsoft’s Power BI service offering. This workshop is a full-day, hands-on course intended to teach how to author reports using Microsoft Power BI Desktop and how to build dashboards and interactive reports via the Microsoft Power BI Service.
The sessions will be a beginner-to-intermediate-level course, intended for both the business users and the data analyst to learn more about data acquisition, data cleansing, data modeling, report design, and data distribution using the Microsoft Power BI platform.
Power BI Tools & Topics
The workshop covers the following tools and topics:
Microsoft Power BI Desktop
Attendees will use Microsoft Power BI Desktop to acquire, cleanse, transform, model, and stage data to be displayed in reports and dashboards. Participants will then leverage that data and Power BI’s gallery of visualizations to design compelling interactive reports for sharing and distribution.
Microsoft Power BI Service
Participants will then use Microsoft Power BI Service to create an Operational Dashboard based on the reports created using Power BI Desktop. Participants will then learn the principles of sharing and securing those dashboards, and how to connect those dashboards to data sources that automatically refresh.
